Bloomstar Property Development Corporation the newest addition to the esteemed La Fortuna group of companies as it's real estate developing arm, is a multi-million venture that started as a simple dream of its founder Doña Vicenta Sy of LA FORTUNA, INC. of formalizing and putting into reality the family vision of providing the comforts and elegance of modern living at highly affordable prices within the heart of Cebu City .

The Siblings

With the tenacious support and hardwork invested by Don Ting Sy and Doña Vicenta Sy, the group successfully establishing itself in the 1950's as one of the pillars in the ever- growing pastry and bakery business in Cebu City. Years after the death of the patriach, the management of the business was bestowed upon the nine children with stewardship of La Fortuna Inc. bequeathed upon the eldest child Ms. Rosa Sy who steered the group enterprise through numerous milestones over the years. Rosa Sy was then Vice President for Visayas-Mindanao branches of the Associated Bank and a former Cebu Bankers Club President.

Bakery operations were ably handled by Mary and Lorenzo Sy while the other siblings concentrated on their own professional endeavors abroad.

Ms. Lolita Sy Go, a licensed medical technologist in Kaiser Permanent Medical Care Clinic based in California, USA.

Another child, Dr. Pacita Sy, is a licensed medical internist operating her own clinic based in Brick, New Jersey, USA.

Mr. Henry Sy who opted to pursue the academic field holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Tech, Virginia, USA. He is a supervisor in application development information technology work in Pacific Life Insurance Company and now resides in Laguna Niguel, California.

Hotel Fortuna

The group launched its entry into the real estate development and hotel management scene in 2006 with the construction and operation of HOTEL FORTUNA. An eight-story deluxe business hotel with 64 rooms, the hotel boasts of a spacious ballroom and function rooms located at the heart of downtown, Cebu. Hotel operations and management is under the auspices and able administration of yet another child Ms. Carmen Sy, who is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

The Blooming of a Star

Taking the dream a step further into home development reality, Bloomstar Property Development Corporation was then incorporated to herald the advent of a townhouse project aptly named Villa Vicenta Town Homes in Guadalupe, Cebu City, using a piece of property bequeathed by the La Fortuna matriarch Doña Vicenta Sy to the corporation under the able headship, Ms. Helen Sy Dy, a successful entrepreneur and well respected banker. She is currently the Vice President and Cluster Head for Visayas-Mindanao branches of Robinsons Savings Bank.

Villa Vicenta Project

Located right in the midst of bustling business and residential area of Guadalupe, Cebu City, Villa Vicenta Town homes boasts of (20) units of elegantly designed townhouses which affords spacious and luxurious living amidst beautifully landscaped grounds. The project area has a charming small town feel to it and is amongst Cebu City's most quiet and promising neighborhoods.

Bloomstar Property Development Corporation was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on the 13th of September 2006 and is licensed to engage in property development.

Construction at Guadalajara in Guadalupe is now in full swing. Scheduled completion is on December 2008
